8x8 Work App Reviews

1. The app is very inconsistent in showing whether an incoming call is from one’s 8x8 phone number vs a call direct-dialed to one’s mobile number. I have played with the settings for incoming calls over data vs cellular voice and there seems to be no consistent pattern to the results. 2. When incoming calls *do* identify as being via 8x8, they are impossible to answer before going to voicemail if one is at the lock screen. That is, unless the phone is active and the 8x8 app is in front, there are too many actions required to answer the call in the time allotted. 3. The app inconsistently shows my correct caller ID vs. showing “anonymous” to those I’m calling. 4. At times, ringer settings don’t function at all. (I have had the experience that incoming calls via 8x8 ring very loudly, even though I have set the app and the iPhone itself to vibrate only). Overall, this is an amateurish app and 8x8 doesn’t seem interested in learning and improving.

This is a great app. Phone service and sms service via wifi. What more could anyone want? Its great quality...very clear.

Great experience on my personal mobile device using my business phone number. Simple to use, love it!

The UI is not intuitive at all. I could write an essay about all the improvements I would do, but the UI is the biggest offender. If the UI were to be improved, everything else would be at least tolerable.

I just love this app because anyone with another voice app and a desk from the same as yours can put a copy and listen to all my phone calls using my devices and my iCloud account I just love it! Hey its not Apples fault.

Very expensive for VOIP phones in office and for the service. Each phone needs separate line. Best part of app is to listen to voicemails. It doesnt work that well to call or receive calls.

Overall the app has been pretty good so far! VoIP is clear and notifications consistent. I think an Apple Watch companion app would be a great add-on, for notifications, voicemails, and maybe even calls

I love this app. It is amazing. Bring my work number with me via my iPhone. Saves my mobile phone charges by using VOIP on wifi.

So Ive used VoIP apps before and the quality is always horrible. Well, my company is an 8x8 customer and let us know for us remote workers they were eliminating our expensing our mobile cell bill & replacing it with the VO app. Of course I dreaded it as I was expecting gargled call quality, dropped calls & integration with nothing. Well, surprisingly the app & 8x8s service is amazing. Exceptional call quality, no dropped calls & seamless integration with our Salesforce CRM including call recording! Even more so comes with an IM where all my companies employees are reachable either on the app or desktop agent. Id give 10⭐️s if I could. Great job 8x8!!!!

I love this app and it works seamlessly with my physical phone But I need to block nuisance callers who interrupt meetings. A Block caller feature will make this 5 stars!

I need to use my business phone when Im in and out of the office and this app helps me stay efficient in doing so. I can make and take business calls from anywhere.

So great to have all the professional elements of my office and be connected to all my colleagues through one place -and all on my phone!
